If the domain name is for private use, i.e., for non-commercial use:
XXXXXX.nom.ad

1. Apply to the State Signs Service for the use of ".ad" in a domain name.

2. Obtain an IP address. This may be an IP address awarded by the Andorra Telecommunications Service (STA) or by any other Local Internet Registry authorised by the Réseaux IP Européens (RIPE) (http://www.ripe.net/) or the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) (http://www.icann.org/).

3. Once you have obtained authorisation from the State Signs Service and an IP address, you should apply to the Andorra Telecommunications Service (STA), as manager of the ".ad" NIC, to link the authorised domain name with the IP address (ftp://ftp.nic.ad/nic/ft-dom-AD-catala.txt). Return this form to postmaster@dinis.ad.

4. If you would like a hosting service, you should contract an Andorran, or any other, hosting service.
